Pleasure Tip: Pleasure First Principle
Pleasure First Principle allows you to experience pleasure before your work and to-do list, not after it, which is the most delicious way to live, love, lead and create.

Welcome back to my Pleasure Tips Series. Today’s tip is the pleasure first principle.
Do you treat pleasure like a reward, something you get to have once the to-do list is done, once the hard day is behind you, or once you have achieved the thing you set out to achieve? This tip asks you to flip that. Pleasure first.
Pleasure is how you access your life force and your creativity. When you approach a task, a project, or your whole day from your pleasure instead of from pressure or disconnection, things shift, and they shift in the best way. Pleasure is your nourishment. It is the energy that makes everything on your to-do list, and the day itself, actually pleasurable to move through. Access your pleasure first and you will live, love, lead, relate, work, and create differently.
This is exactly what I work on with women inside The Pleasurelit Woman, my signature program. It moves you from disconnected to pleasurelit, learning how to access your pleasure and actually live from it.

"I believe the more we expand our capacity for pleasure, and the more we care for our body, the more deeply in love with ourselves and life we can feel."
I’m Pleasurelit Patricia, award winning Somatic Pleasure Educator & Perimenopause Coach
After growing up as the good girl, becoming a high achiever and later leaving a DV marriage, I became fascinated by what helps us fall in love with ourselves and life. I have explored hundreds of somatic practices and pleasure tools, alongside more than 20 certifications and years of study across health, nutrition, fitness, somatics, yoga, breathwork, tantra and sexuality.
Through my programs, courses, coaching, and community, I help you build a pleasurable and healthy relationship with your body, so you can feel deliciously in love with yourself and life itself, especially during perimenopause and at times of disconnection.
I’m the founder of Pleasurelit®, bestselling author of The Pleasurelit Way, and host of Pleasurelit with Patricia, a top 5% globally ranked podcast.
What is the Pleasure First Principle
Pleasure first doesn’t mean you need to self-pleasure before every task, though you can to. It means opening your portals to pleasure, and that can be simple. It can be a feather. It can be dropping into your body through your senses, through sensation, movement, breath, sound, or touch.
Before a business call, before speaking, before starting a project, you can drop into your body and access your pleasure first. It changes how you create and how you lead.
This is exactly why I keep a feather right here at my desk. Even I get pulled into being too focused, too rigid, chasing one more thing done, feeling myself go under the pump. Those are the moments I know I need a pleasure break. I pick up the feather, and I drop back in, before a client call, before I create, before I record.
That small pause is a portal to pleasure. It’s what makes the to-do list pleasurable rather than just another pressure to push through. It’s part of living the Pleasurelit Way.
Dropping into pleasure first regulates your nervous system and expands your capacity to actually feel. From that regulated, pleasure filled state, you attract differently, because you are radiating a different kind of energy, and that draws in the right opportunities and the right people.
Next time you catch yourself putting pleasure off as a reward for later, try the opposite. Pleasure first. Feel how that shifts in your body.
With love & pleasure,
Patricia
