Pleasure Tip: Body Pleasure Mapping
Body Pleasure mapping is a somatic pleasure practice to explore every part of your body, learning what feels good, and what doesn't, which will expand your capacity for pleasure.

Welcome back to my Pleasure Tips Series. Today’s tip is pleasure body mapping.
A beautiful, delicious practice for exploring your own body, learning what you like and how you like it, and just as importantly, what you don’t. Taking note of that is how you open yourself up to more pleasure.

"I believe the more we expand our capacity for pleasure, and the more we care for our body, the more deeply in love with ourselves and life we can feel."
I’m Pleasurelit Patricia, award winning Somatic Pleasure Educator & Perimenopause Coach
After growing up as the good girl, becoming a high achiever and later leaving a DV marriage, I became fascinated by what helps us fall in love with ourselves and life. I have explored hundreds of somatic practices and pleasure tools, alongside more than 20 certifications and years of study across health, nutrition, fitness, somatics, yoga, breathwork, tantra and sexuality.
Through my programs, courses, coaching, and community, I help you build a pleasurable and healthy relationship with your body, so you can feel deliciously in love with yourself and life itself, especially during perimenopause and at times of disconnection.
I’m the founder of Pleasurelit®, bestselling author of The Pleasurelit Way, and host of Pleasurelit with Patricia, a top 5% globally ranked podcast.
What is body pleasure mapping
Pleasure body mapping is a practice where you take real time with yourself and explore your body, head to toe, toe to head, or sideways, whatever order feels right to you. The point is that you explore all of yourself, every part, including the parts you are convinced don’t need exploring. You might be surprised. You might never have imagined the back of your knees could feel pleasurable, or that your feet actually love a certain kind of touch. That is exactly the discovery this practice is for.
How to body pleasure map
Start with your own hands. Our hands are remarkably sensitive, and that connection, that touch, is a portal to your pleasure. Move across your body and take note of what feels good and what doesn’t.
Play with light touch, then firmer touch. Change the pressure and notice the difference between light, tingling, or firm. Try different strokes and movements. When you are ready, you can bring in sensation tools, feathers, something light, something warm or something cold and hard for temperature play, even something a little spiky. Each texture gives you new information about your own body, and each round of exploring expands your capacity for pleasure.
This isn’t a one time practice. I highly suggest repeating it, because things shift over time. I didn’t like my feet being touched for years, and then one day, out of nowhere, I loved receiving a foot massage. It’s something I can really lean into now. You change, your body changes, and so do your likes and dislikes. Keep body pleasure mapping.
With love & pleasure,
Patricia
